Managing the Upside in an Economic Downturn

With an economic downturn in business, you may have started feeling the pinch. Budgets have been slashed. Training and development dollars suspended. Travel curtailed. Salaries decreased. Expenses reduced.

During this time, some executives will succeed financially while others will fail. While it's not a law of life that one must fail during a downturn, people who are afraid to learn and give it all they've got could find their personal financial growth negatively impacted. Are You a Good Team Member?

Each participant at a meeting is responsible for the group's progress. It can be difficult to work together as a team and achieve resolutions when you and/or others are behaving in ways that are inappropriate and/or disruptive.

Usually this occurs when participants feel they are not being heard, they are frustrated, they are bored, or they are restless.

This happens to most professionals, from time-to-time, throughout any organization.

Why? We live in a busy world where chaos is the norm. Change is expected and not always welcomed. Results we predicted are not happening. Customers, both internally and externally, are demanding more without necessarily giving anything back. We are left questioning our decisions on a daily basis.
